Privacy policy
This policy explains what information is collected when you use hoyoopin.com, run by Vyziotek, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we").
What we don't do. There are no accounts and no sign-up forms, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the site.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and see which pages are useful. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Data is kept for 14 months.
Advertising. We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your interests where you allow it. You can manage this at Google's ad settings and learn more in Google's policy.
Your consent choices. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's certified consent message before analytics and personalised ads run. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer.
Live weather. Weather is fetched by our own server from WeatherAPI.com using the location of the city you are looking at (on a city or country page, the weather page or My pins), not your location. Your IP address is not sent to WeatherAPI. To prevent abuse, our server keeps short-lived request counters linked to IP addresses.
City search. What you type in the city search is sent to our server to find matching cities. We don't store it with anything that identifies you.
Saved in your browser. Some preferences, such as your units (°C or °F, km/h or mph) and your pinned cities (My pins), are stored only in your browser's local storage. We don't keep a list of anyone's pins: to show the weather of a pinned city, your browser asks our server for the weather at that city's location, as on any city page. You can clear them by clearing your browser's site data.
Affiliate links. When you follow an affiliate link, it passes through hoyoopin.com/go/ and the partner may set its own cookies to credit the referral. Their privacy policy applies on their site.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its use. Contact us at info@hoyooken.com.
Changes. We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date at the top.
